IUMA: Mr. Fairplay
Stationed in South Korea 12 miles from the DMZ (Demilitarilization Zone) Mr. Fairplay had a decision to make as he entered his barracks room, getting out of "full battle rattle" comming off an alert. Re-enlist or pursue another career.......hmmmmmmmm Done! I think I'll become a producer was the thought and he never turned back. After serving seven (7) years with the United States Army Mr. Fairplay turned down the Army's re-enlistment at Fort Bragg North Carolina and set out to become a producer, how long does that take anyways? Well Mr. Fairplay had 13 months left on his second enlistment contract so he bought a pawn shop yahmaha keyboard and went to work still juggling the military's demanding schedules field rotations and duties. Practicing everyday, every free minute Mr. Fairplay would go on to spark the interests of many military and civilian singers and rappers hosting freestyle sessions in his barracks room, Rm. 310B which made him a popular producer on and off post and Military Police for noise ordanance violations. Soon he would have a team of aspiring artist military and civilian forming Fairplay Entertainment. So it was time to learn how to record, mix, and master, having a computer built, putting a yahmaha 540 keyboard on layaway and bought a home recording studio program. Mr. Fairplay went to work and within a month of paying off all the gear Mr. Fairplay set out to become a recording engineer having this new equipment opened up another music world, experimenting with it and using the internet to gain knowledge of basic recording proceedures. Soon getting a better hang at recording Mr. Fairplay recorded a demo for a local artist (Why'd You every Say You Loved Me?-A. Baxter) and without Mr. Fairplay knowing, the artist put the track online at loudenergy.com, it held the #1 spot for R&B for almost a year before he was informed and was too happy to be upset! Then with 9 months left in the military worked more and more with all the local talent in Fayetteville, N.C. and surrounding areas and began work with his artist on the first Fairplay Entertainment album "Universatility". We sold 300 copies in the first 4 days! That was it! Then Mr. Fairplay knew that he was'nt leaving the military unprepared! Mr. Fairplay was Honarably Discharged after 7 years of military service in the United States Army.

Mr. Fairplay's been busy!
But the results from dealing with so many artists different attitudes, promoters and alot of creative differences came about because Mr. Fairplay performs profanity free, everything! So not letting go of his idea of doing an appealing album to all age groups and clean enough for the family to listen to he started on his solo album X-Clusive Rightz. A life album filled with songs dreamz, ambition and struggle, love and heartbreak with a variety of styles from Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Blues and a hint of good ole florida style bass music. A true musical gumbo that will be sure to please any musical taste, a soundtrack of an artists' life and musical life. Mr. Fairplay wrote all his material, produced it, performed everything whether singing or rapping all the way to background vocals and recording every bit himself. Mr. Fairplay plays all the instruments including live instruments (drums, keyboard, lead and bass guitar) one of his most polished tracks "Furniture Moving" a song of a cheating heart. Mr. Fairplay offers up some great wordplay and new subject matter on his Rap joints that will keep the kids bouncin'! Expect to hear alot from Mr. Fairplay in the music industry soon. With his solo album gaining popularity and new tracks and projects opening up Mr. Fairplay will soon join the ranks of the best.
They will just have to come up with a new genre!
